I am a Mid-Western artist, writer, antique dealer, junker and all around dabbler. All of my art, whether, water colors, hand painted furniture, collage, or jewelry has a vintage feel and look to it. I scrounge for supplies with a time worn appeal to inspire my creations ( not just because I have an addiction to garage sales like my family thinks.)
Besides needing a 12 step program for garage sale shopping, I seem to have a painting obsession too. I enjoy painting, and repainting my home on a regular basis. But no matter how often it gets redecorated, it always has a romantic, floral style. |
My blog came about last year, when I was looking for a way to start selling some of my artwork online. I didn't even know what a blog was when I started mine. But soon after, I was head over heels, crazy about being part of the blogging community. I write magazine articles here and there as a hobby, but writing my blog is so much more than business or fun now, it is a way to connect with other women out there who feel the same way I do about the perfect shade of aqua, or a velvet flower salvaged from an old bonnet. As an artist, life can be solitary at times, and the companionship of my blog friends is a constant, no matter what time of day or night I might want a friendly visit with them as a break from my studio.
