Hi, I'm Kathryn Bechen and I'm a published professional freelance writer and PR consultant. My passion is writing about home and garden, organizing, and inspirational and motivational topics. My work has been published in national decorating magazines, newspapers, and online.

I also enjoy writing business copy for home and garden entrepreneurs, professional organizers, and other creatives, and helping them get featured in publications via my PR phone consultations. Since I’m a teacher by education, I naturally enjoy being a mentor and motivating others to succeed at their own dreams.

I first began blogging in 2006 and I love the sense of business connection and community that I’ve have found with my fellow creatives in the home and garden niche. The support and friendship has been absolutely wonderful and I've had people e-mail me from around the globe and I've even been blessed with e-friends who send me gifts in the mail. What fun!

My husband of nearly 28 years, Steve, is my business strategy partner and also handles my accounting, computer, and office handyman needs	I often write on my laptop computer in my cottage style bedroom with my dear feline assistants, Beau & Monique, at my side.

I work from home in my "urban cottage treehouse" office in San Diego, CA.	Displaying my published magazine articles in my office keeps me motivated to keep writing every day!
