Hi, I'm Cindy Kihn-Santiago.  I started my blog "My Romantic Home" in June of 2005.  I decided to start a blog of my own after I became hooked on reading knitting and cooking blogs. I never had the confidence in my knitting skills to post pictures on my blog and photographing food to make it look appetizing is something I couldn't seem to master. Then I discovered the home decorating blogs and suddenly it all made sense and I was so happy that I had named my blog after my favorite style of decorating. 

My blog is about my life as a single mom trying to make my rental apartment look like the gorgeous homes I see in magazines but on a single-mom's budget using items from flea markets, thrift stores and discount department stores.  It's been a really fun challenge for me and I've really enjoyed sharing it with my readers.  I never imagined the world of blogging could be so much fun and that I would make friends with so many like-minded women.  I cherish every single comment and email I receive!

I am so very honored to be featured here with those that were featured before me.  Kim, Kathryn and Barbara are all bloggers I greatly admire!
